I was born and raised in the Austin area. I attended middle school in Pflugerville and remember playing Canyon Vista in volleyball and basketball. After graduating from Pflugerville High School, I attended Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M I was able to work with Dr. Mark Westhusin's research group on cloning. I received my degree in Biochemistry and then returned to Austin to attend t.u. to get my teaching certificate.
I married my husband, Todd, in 2006. Many of my former students will know me as Ms. Snowden. I have a step-son, Zack, who graduated from Westwood, a daughter, Makayla, entering 10th grade and a son, Jace, entering 7th grade. They keep me very busy but I wouldn't want it any other way.
In my free time, I love watching Aggie football, traveling to watch my daughter play club volleyball, taking my kids to movies and meeting friends at Starbucks to catch up.
This is my 26th year teaching 7th grade Science at Canyon Vista Middle School. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I truly enjoy what I do. Each day brings something fun and exciting.
